Who runs this site

This website is operated by John Wood Livestock, Merley Hall Farm, Wimborne, Dorset. References to “we”, “us”, and “our” mean John Wood Livestock.

About the site

This site shows stock currently available for sale, lets buyers enquire, and lets sellers offer stock to us. It is a tool to start conversations, not a binding sales channel. Nothing on these pages constitutes a contract until John has confirmed the trade by phone or in person.

Stock listings

Lots shown on the “Stock for Sale” page are updated as often as we can. Numbers, breed, age, and price are accurate at the time of listing but stock moves quickly. Availability is always subject to confirmation when you ring John.

Photos of stock are illustrative. The animals shown are representative of the lot but, given the size of the load and how stock changes over short periods, individual animals may vary.

Pricing

Prices on listings are quoted per head, ex farm, unless agreed otherwise. Final price and any adjustments are confirmed at the point of sale.

Finance

John Wood Livestock does not provide, arrange, or advise on finance, and is not authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority. Where finance is mentioned, we are simply pointing customers towards Wadland Finance, an independent rural lender. Any arrangement is solely between you and Wadland on their terms.

Delivery

We arrange haulage across the UK on a quoted-per-load basis when we have agreed the trade. Delivery dates are estimates and depend on the practicalities of the run.

Sell-your-stock enquiries

When you submit the Sell-Your-Stock form, you are giving us an invitation to discuss a possible purchase. We are not committing to buy until John has reviewed the offer and confirmed it back to you. We treat your details as private and discreet (see our privacy policy).

Use of this site

You agree to use this site for legitimate enquiries and not to scrape, abuse, or otherwise interfere with normal operation. The content of this site (copy, photos, layout) is the property of John Wood Livestock unless otherwise indicated.

Liability

We do our best to make sure information on this site is accurate and up to date. To the extent permitted by law, we cannot accept responsibility for losses caused by reliance on information on the site, including pricing or availability shown that has since changed. Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we update the date at the top.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
